As usual. he used his great portable setup, consists from 2.4M dish, 300 watts at feed, IC-9700.<br \/>\nNext event on 19th of April. State Mississippi.<\/p>\n<p><b>April 18, 2021 &#8211; EM53cu Grenada Lake, Mississippi<br \/>\n<\/b>First day of Gene&#8217;s expedition <span class=\"VIiyi\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"JLqJ4b ChMk0b\" data-language-for-alternatives=\"en\" data-language-to-translate-into=\"ru\" data-phrase-index=\"0\">to Mississippi brought me a disappointing: 2.5 hour of calling him&nbsp; &#8211; and never once did Gene answer me!<\/span> <span class=\"JLqJ4b ChMk0b\" data-language-for-alternatives=\"en\" data-language-to-translate-into=\"ru\" data-phrase-index=\"1\">But on the second day he started working on the Q65-30B and I managed to get it<\/span><\/span>!<br \/>\n<strong>171930 -22 3.2 1028 : KB7Q ES3RF R-15<\/strong><br \/>\nBelow the screenshot of our QSO:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/es1rf.interval.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/KB7Q_missis.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4335 size-thumbnail alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/es1rf.interval.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/KB7Q_missis-170x150.jpg\" alt=\"KB7Q_mississippi_trip\" width=\"170\" height=\"150\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-4336\" src=\"https:\/\/es1rf.interval.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/kb7q_miss_2-170x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"170\" height=\"150\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After 55 minutes in Q65-30B Gene compete 14 QSO and returned to JT65C mode.<br \/>\nOf course, a called him again and immediately got answer! Gene&#8217;s best was -14 db! Much stronger, than yesterday:<br \/>\n<strong>1842 -17 2.7 1146 ## ES3RF KB7Q EM53 OOO<\/strong><br \/>\nNow I was completely satisfied!<\/p>\n<p>His next stop in<strong> Alabama (EM64) \u2013 April 21 Start 2000z.<br \/>\n<\/strong>April 21, easy enough QSO &#8211; less than 1 hour calling among the &#8220;Big Guns&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/es1rf.interval.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/KB7Q_ala_Wheeler-Lake.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-4341 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/es1rf.interval.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/KB7Q_ala_Wheeler-Lake-170x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"170\" height=\"150\"><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/es1rf.interval.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/kb7q_ala-e1619116156107.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-4340 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/es1rf.interval.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/kb7q_ala-170x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"170\" height=\"150\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n&nbsp; 2115 -24 2.6 804 #* KB7Q ES3RF KO29<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>His next, and the last in this trip is <strong>Kentucky (EM77) &#8211; April 23&nbsp;MR 2100z .<\/strong><br \/>\nBut, Gene informed us in the Moon-Net, as follows:<br \/>\n&#8220;Significant rain is forecast for Saturday.&nbsp; Soaking the dish and having to store it wet doesn&#8217;t sound like a good idea &#8211; so I&#8217;ll compress the Kentucky operation into a one day effort &#8211; Friday, April 23 MR 2100Z. &#8221; So, <span class=\"VIiyi\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"JLqJ4b ChMk0b\" data-language-for-alternatives=\"en\" data-language-to-translate-into=\"ru\" data-phrase-index=\"0\">we must hurry!<\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>April 23, 2021 &#8211; EM77el &#8211; Mount Sherman, Kentucky<\/b><br \/>\nyes, this QSO was easy enough. Mode Q65-30B. So, all 6 states and 6 new grid squares.<br \/>\nFrom the Moon-net reflector:&nbsp;<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/es1rf.interval.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/kb7q_kentucky.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-4344 size-thumbnail\" src=\"https:\/\/es1rf.interval.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/kb7q_kentucky-170x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"170\" height=\"150\"><\/a>&#8220;<em>Yesterday I worked 45 stations from Kentucky to complete operations, and nudge several stations closer to W.A.S. The whole trip came off as planned with no equipment failures &#8211; I heard Murphy was resting after visiting the Texas power grid. :-)|<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Excellent expedition.
